BATANGAS is a popular tourist destination south of Metro Manila. It is home to the famous Taal Volcano, Taal Heritage Town – a small picturesque town that has ancestral houses and structures dating back to the 19th Century. The province also has many excellent beaches, diving spots including Anilao in Mabini, Tingloy Island, Nasugbu and Laiya. Apart from nature and diving tours, Batangas has also put itself in the Philippine tourist map as a place for worship and devotion among Roman Catholics.
